Fee balance calculations only count terms from here onward — a student who joined in Term 2 is never treated as owing Term 1 fees. If this student was registered before this field existed, set it now to the term/year they actually first joined, to correct their balance calculation.
Only subjects marked "Optional" in Settings appear here. Compulsory subjects are automatically included for every student and don't need selecting.

NLSC Schemes of Work — Syllabus & Reference Library

Plan, and their submission tracking, now live under Tr's Instructional Materials.

until you replace or delete it. The PDF's text is extracted in your browser; only the extracted text is stored.

Reference Books (Admin)
Upload any number of reference books per subject — textbooks, guides, workbooks, anything relevant —
this is what lets the AI citereal page numbersinstead of "(verify page reference)",
since it can then look at actual book content instead of guessing from just a title. Title and Author
are auto-filled from the PDF's own embedded metadata when present (edit if it looks wrong or is
missing). When generating a scheme, only the most relevant pages across all of a subject's uploaded
books are ever sent to the AI, not whole books — matched automatically against the syllabus content
for that term, plus anything typed in Focus Topics — which keeps generation fast and affordable
regardless of how many books you've uploaded.

Generate Scheme of Work (AI Draft)
Produces a DRAFT only, from the syllabus stored above — review and edit before saving. It does not
get added to your real Schemes of Work list until you click Save below. Restricted to Admin/SuperAdmin,
verified by your real login session, since each generation costs money against the school's AI account.
Scheme of Work Submission Tracking
An independent record of who has actually submitted their scheme of work — separate from the
AI generation above entirely; this tracks the administrative fact of submission and approval,
whether the scheme itself was hand-written, typed elsewhere, or generated through this system.
Recording/approving submissions for other teachers requires Admin/SuperAdmin or a specific
permission grant; a teacher can always upload proof for their own record.

Generate Lesson Plan (AI Draft)
A single detailed lesson, not a term-long scheme — Introduction, Lesson Development, Conclusion,
Assessment, each with time allocations. Produces a DRAFT only — review and edit before saving.
Restricted to Admin/SuperAdmin, verified by your real login session, since each generation costs
money against the school's AI account — and a lesson plan is likely generated far more often
than a scheme, so this matters even more here.

SuperAdmin Credentials
Change the real SuperAdmin login password (verified through Supabase). Username changes aren't supported here — they need to go through Supabase Dashboard → Authentication → Users, since the login lookup depends on that mapping.
Forgot your password entirely (can't provide the current one)? It can only be reset from Supabase Dashboard → Authentication → Users — there's no in-app reset, deliberately, since an in-app reset to a known default is itself a security hole.

Caution:These actions affect all accounts and cannot be undone.
Settings
When you save settings, all students are automatically moved to the selected term.
A single deliberate action that advances the term and moves all active students forward — optionally also copying the current Class Fees Structure to the new term, per the checkbox above. Shows exactly what will happen before doing anything.
Auto-detected from system clock ·
The academic year runs January – December and updates automatically at the start of each new year.
Public Holidays (Uganda)
Fixed-date holidays and Easter-based ones (Good Friday, Easter Monday) are detected automatically for any year — a teacher trying to start a lesson on one of these dates gets a warning. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are NOT auto-detected — the Islamic calendar depends on actual moon sighting, not just a formula, so add them manually below once the date is confirmed for the year, along with any election day or school-specific closure.
School Identity
Used on generated certificates of recognition, report cards, and anywhere else the school's identity appears in documents. Changes take effect once you click Save below.
School Houses (Admin)
Houses are assigned automatically in sequence at registration. Set the name and colours for each house below.
Assignment sequence: 1st student → House 1, 2nd → House 2, … cycling back to House 1.
CBC Grading System (Admin)
Defines the achievement-level bands used across the Gradebook and Report Cards, per the
New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC). Add, edit, reorder, or delete levels and adjust
their score ranges below — changes apply immediately to every report card and gradebook view.
Example levels: Exceptional, Outstanding, Satisfactory, Basic, Elementary. Ranges should not overlap and should together cover 0–100.
Letter Grading System (Admin)
A separate, traditional A–F letter grade shown as its own column on the report card,
alongside the CBC achievement level above. Add, edit, or delete letters and their score
ranges below — independent of the CBC bands.
Example: 80–100 = A, 70–79 = B, 60–69 = C, and so on. Ranges should not overlap and should together cover 0–100.
Head Teacher's Comment Templates (Admin)
Auto-generates the Head Teacher's Comment on every report card, based on the student's overall
average achievement level (from the CBC Grading System above) — no manual typing needed per
student. "He" or "She" is filled in automatically from the student's registered gender.
One template per achievement level; edit the wording however you like.
Example: level "Elementary" → template "has achieved an overall elementary score" → printed as "Victor has achieved an overall elementary score." (using the student's own first name).
Class Teacher's Comment Templates (Admin)
Auto-generates the Class Teacher's Comment on every report card, based on the student's performance TREND (compared to their previous term) and their discipline record — combined into one comment, e.g. "Victor has shown notable improvement in academic performance this term, and continues to display good discipline and conduct in class." Edit the wording of each piece below; they're joined together automatically.
Performance Trend
Discipline
Threshold: a student with more than this many discipline case(s) recorded this academic year gets the "Needs Attention" wording instead of "Good".
Subjects — Optional vs Compulsory (Admin)
Check any subject that is OPTIONAL (an elective, not taken by every student). Compulsory
subjects (unchecked) appear automatically on every student's report card. Optional subjects
only appear for the specific students registered as taking them — set per-student in the
Students tab.

Note:Changing your password will require you to log in again with the new one.
Forgot your current password entirely? It can only be reset from Supabase Dashboard → Authentication → Users —
there's no in-app reset, deliberately, since a reset to a known default from inside the app is itself a security hole.
AI Generation Credits & Usage
This is your school's OWN running total — computed from the real token usage Anthropic's API
returns for every Scheme/Lesson Plan generation, at their current published rates. It is NOT
Anthropic's actual live billing balance (there's no way for this app to fetch that directly) —
treat it as a close, genuinely useful estimate for planning top-ups, and check the real number
at Anthropic's own console periodically to keep this accurate.
